About Our Neighborhood Association
Northgate Neighborhood has a broad range of
neighborhoods, businesses and encompasses a diverse
and active part of Salem. It contains a range of
neighborhoods ranging from the mid-twentieth century to
areas that are still under development. Northgate is home
to Hallman, Hammond, and Yoshikai Elementary Schools,
and Adam Stephens Middle School. Newly renovated
Northgate park is home to concerts in the park during
warm summer months. The Northgate neighborhood is
also home to well established industrial areas and the soon
to open Kroc Center.
The neighborhood occupies the most northeast portion of
Salem (see map). It is located between the Salem Parkway
on the west and the eastern city limits north of Silverton
Rd. Northgate Neighborhood Association borders large
areas of Marion County neighborhoods that are inside the
Salem-Keizer area urban growth boundary.
